OUR TEAM

Lynn A. Kovach

Founder & Principal Surveyor

Lynn Kovach founded Polaris Land Surveying with the mission to provide exceptional surveying services to a diverse clientele on interesting projects. She started subdivisions and has spent decades growing her survey portfolio to include municipal, utility and transportation projects, as well as consulting city surveyor services. Driven by the betterment of the profession, Lynn takes pride in mentoring fellow surveyors, being a technical expert for the Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists and serving as a Director for the California Land Surveyors Association. She is frequently called upon by her peers to assist on difficult boundary projects. Lynn is meticulous in her research and thorough in her fieldwork setting the tone for the entire Polaris team to do the same. Lynn is a graduate of Fresno State University where she majored in Surveying and Photogrammetry.

Ryder Kovach

Principal Surveyor

As is the fate of many surveyor’s children, Ryder was destined to become a land surveyor.  He grew up with a survey rod in hand and officially joined his mom, Lynn Kovach, at Polaris Land Surveying in 2003 after graduating high school.  Ryder’s attention to detail shines on precise stability monitoring projects and complicated design surveys. Ryder earned licensure in 2022 and became Principal at Polaris Land Surveying in 2023. He is often found on large ranch projects helping to define easements and prepare lot line adjustments. As a newly licensed land surveyor, Ryder is looking forward to refining his survey methodologies and incorporating new technologies as the profession evolves.
